“The Chosen? Do you mean Colette? Well that’s good!”
Oh it seemed he was quick to make the assumption it was Colette and not Zelos… Besides he was sure the other redhead and Richter probably didn’t like each other… And Colette would be someone to give even former enemies gifts if things were patched up between them.
“Hopefully things won’t be hectic.”
“And sometimes I really don’t get this holiday but any excuse to get time off work to spend a day with you is good for me~!”
He nodded in response to the blond’s question about the Chosen of Regeneration. Seeing as he would have quite possibly burned the gift on the spot if they had been from the Chosen of Mana, the way he spoke of it made clear Colette had given it to him.
While his research called to the inquisitive half-elven male, he couldn’t help but smile. “The day itself is nonsense, but I suppose that’s one way to look at it. What would you like to do today, Aster?”

Of course it seemed the message was no longer bothering the blond. After all with Richter here… He felt like he’d be fine!
It was good to see the younger smile. “No one but you and the Chosen have sent me anything today. Which, seeing as most are more ridiculous today, is a good sign that things won’t be too stupid this year.”

"Richter~!" The blond male exclaimed after getting behind the older male. A big silly grin was on his face. "Happy Valentine's Day! I'm not sure what I'm exactly supposed to do since I'm a bit unfamiliar with the holiday~ But I did make you something!" And with that said he pulled out a heart shaped box, sure it didn't very pretty, heck it was made out of cardboard he had to steal from unused boxes and them tape them together and paint them red... However inside it was heart shaped chocolates. 
Richter turned, smiling down at the young blond, looking to the box he was offered. Gloved hands opened it, the chocolate inside causing a soft chuckle to escape his lips. “The holiday itself is fairly stupid. Such things people do on this day should be done year round if they care about the one they spend time with. Nevertheless, thank you, Aster.” The hand holding the box itself instead of the top of it extended, offering the treats to his husband. “Would you like some as well?”

“Richter…!”
He simply let go of Richter’s hands before moving his hands up for fingers to pinch and tug a bit on the other’s cheeks. A pout was obvious at this point as green eyes focused into the older male’s eyes. It was obvious he disliked how Richter thought of himself! After all the blond loved the redhead very dearly.
“You need some confidence mister! I’m sure any child you’d raise would be just fine! Besides you’ll never know if you don’t try at all! We’re researchers aren’t we? Trial and error are what we learn from! And if we don’t try and make errors… There wouldn’t be a lot to learn from! And we sure aren’t perfect! So you have to at least try to learn something!”
“…Aster. That doesn’t quite work as well when other living beings are considered. What would you do if the child you raised, as they reached maturity, grew to hate and despise you simply for being your child? Living beings are not test subjects, Aster. We can not treat them as such.”
